Authentic German Spätzle

Preparing authentic German spätzle requires a good amount of elbow-grease  to get the perfect, light & fluffy spätzle. You can use egg beaters to mix the batter, but when you mix by hand, it allows the air to get caught in the batter. When the batter starts to develop bubbles, it's ready to be pressed into boiling water.
